A Mass of Remembrance-Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Office of Permanent Diaconate Dear Brothers and Sisters, Please see this note from Cardinal DiNardo: "Our faithful community will come together on the eve of the national recognition of the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to celebrate his life and legacy. His vision for our nation is impressed upon the hearts of generations of Americans who share his dream of equality, justice, freedom, and the protection of rights in support of the dignity of the human person. On Sunday, January 14, 2018, the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston will gather to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of its celebration to honor the birthday of Dr. King. I would like to invite the Permanent Diaconate and their wives to this special liturgy, which will take place at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart at 3:00 p.m. I will be the celebrant and Reverend Martial Oya of St. Matthew the Evangelist parish will be the homilist for this Mass of Remembrance.
